Dramatic panoramas of sea, mountains and sky, secluded, lush courtyards, winding wrought-iron staircases, and grass-topped palapas overlooking the ocean are just a few of the characteristics that will captivate you upon your arrival.
|
Ornate winding staircases will take you to your bedroom, where a large sliding glass door facing the ocean will greet you each morning. As the sun streams in, the sound of water lapping on the seawall will beckon you out to the wide tiled balcony that each bedroom shares. Your privacy is ensured with a bathroom in each bedroom and a lock on each bedroom door. |
|
Depending on the
time of year you visit, oranges, limes or grapefruit fresh from the fruit
courtyard can be your breakfast. When the trees arent in season, the market
in
San Carlos
has wonderful fresh fruit and vegetables, along with most anything else needed
to prepare a meal.
|
|
The rugged mountains and crystal blue sea are the backdrop for the extensive rear gardens, with the barbeque pit situated in the middle with seating for up to 15 people. For a more intimate outdoor dining experience, take your meal to one of the grass topped palapas.
|
A winding, wrought iron staircase will entice you to experience a view of San Carlos only available at Sanctuary on the Sea. The contrast of the white textured roof and bell tower with the blue sky and sea is breathtaking, and is a perfect spot to relax in the sun or watch the moon rise.

Sanctuary on the Sea will transform your vacation
into a relaxing and refreshing escape. The steam room will soothe your muscles
and refresh your skin, especially after a vigorous swim in the ocean, or the
indoor pool. The sunken den is the perfect cozy spot to curl up with a good
book.

If youve had
too much of the sun, the game room is the perfect place to play a board game, a
game of pool, or just watch a movie. There is a small video store in San Carlos,
or for more selection there is a larger store in Guaymas, only 15 minutes away.
There are 3 kitchens equipped
with dishes and basic cooking utensils available for your use. Patti is our
maid, and comes 4 days a week to do laundry and clean. She is also a great cook,
and will make traditional Mexican meals for an hourly rate (plus tips).
